Warm hugs.!

Hi
Here's another winter based mixed media project :)
I couldn't resist using Olaf image hehe..
You can check out the full journal spread Here. This time around i challenged myself to bring out that feel in a smaller canvas & also increase the glitter factor a bit.. So here it is..

I started with a neena solar white CS for the base..
Gave a tissue paper coating with glue, colored using distress paints (salty ocean, picked raspberry) for the bg..
Added some splashes with snow marker & uniball signo pen (for controlled ones)
Stamped some random patters with versamark & embossed with wow clear sparkle EP
Fo that ice tree branch i used glossy accents, uniball signo silver gel pen & some gemstones..

Olaf is pretty much the same as my previous project..
I don't have a die or a die cutting machine for that matter ;) i wrote the word "hugs" in brustro white iridescent paper & fussy cut it..
Distressed the edges..

I took another cardbase slightly bigger than that & stuck all around with glitter tape (generously sent to me by dear friend Sathya, who specifically asked me not to hoard things ;) & which i happily obliged, yay)
Stuck the whole panel together with tacky glue..
& it's done :)

I made this for a swap challenge here at
https://m.facebook.com/groups/1552578748364292?ref=bookmarks
& am glad my swap partner liked it :)

Hope you liked it. Do lemme know your comments. They mean a lot :)

Mixed media kraft card-memory

Hi
Here's a mixed media card i made for a darling crafty friend Sathya :) Her blog Paperie expressions is flilled with crafty awesomeness.. Just take a leap to see for yourself :)

Am really sorry that i was not able to take any pics during the process as i was running short of time.!

Well, to put in short i worked on the panel first, layering it with so many stencils, inks & paints.. I added dimension by applying inka gold old gold (it's more of a rusty orange/copper shade than gold) through stencils.. Aww i so luvvvv it especially the rose (newly bought stencil by Prima) .. Distressed the edges..

The cardbase is a precut Kraft blank card from itsybitsy (new) & again applied the old gold & aquamarine blue inka gold colors..

Sentiment from Fiskars quotes is gold embossed on off white cardstock & fussy cut..
Finally added gemstones to finish off my card.. Am so glad that my friend liked it :)

Hope you liked it as well.. Do lemme kno ur comments.. They mean a lot to me..
Thanks fir stopping by.
Create. Have fun

Be mine stampset

Hiiiiiii
Yup am that excitedddd.!!!!! Feels great working for the first time with the stampset i designed..! I never imagined this will be a reality.!
Without further ado here's the card

I stamped the image with archival blank ink & colored with guess what?! Inexpensive water based markers (By Flamingo) which my brother had for his art class ;)
& some fine details with staedtler fine liner pens.. Added highlights with uniball signo white gel pen..
For the face i used spun sugar & worn lipstick distress inks..
Fussy cut the images & popped up on bg :)
(Heart is popped even more with some wink of stella clear glitter)

For the bg i used smooshing technique with gelatos passion fruit, memento inks Angel pink & lilac posies, & stamped little hearts like :) added some gesso splashes..
The sentiment is stamped with versa color opera pink(my newly bought one) pigment ink & clear embossed.
Few more shots.. I couldn't resist :P

I really hope you liked it. Do lemme kno ur comments. They mean a lot.

Mini album sketchbook style

Hi,
Here's my first ever Mini album :) aah am doing a lot of "first ever" posts lately :D
The twist here is it's a mini without embellishments.! Yeah am always kinda scared to use those beautiful goodies ;) & also this is a masculine one..
I've heard Many crafty frnds of mine say they are not comfortable with sketching but they love it all the same..
Here's the good news.! U can totally Make a sketchbook style album with stamps & sinple watercoloring..!
These are the layouts in a nutshell :)

Cover

Read on if u would like to know the details of each page :)
(Warning: it's picture HEAVVVYY)
Steps:
For the album part, i followed this Tag album tutorial by Tanvi for the pages.. i did some research in YouTube regarding mini album binding .. I tried the stacked hinge (or whatever it is called, sorry am really not familiar with them;)) binding system.. It turned out really well..
Used chipboard, blackcardstock, prima epiphany PP & Some black baker's twine..
The pages & tags are 3×4" cut from Iris SG & Linen cardstocks respectively..
Pockets made from Black card  stock & WRMK Envelope punch board
Pages
Followed the same steps for all pages.. Did some basic watercoloring (watercolor pencils, gelatos, distress inks) according to the photograph.. I distressed all the photographs with DIs.. Then stamped images by the theme..!! (Used Jet black archival ink) Only two doodles in the whole series are hand drawn ;)
This is also a great way to use up your little stamps.
Wrote quotes/sentiments with 0.05 fine liner pen.. That gives a complete look..
Tags
Again for the tags i used Distress Inks to match up the color of the page.. I was really surprised & happy that it was possible to bring out similar color effects with different media..

So here you go.. The individual pages (it sort of goes in a timeline/ story format) with list of supplies below each one.
(I've added link back to stores in India from which i actually bought them just for my reference & with the hope that it might be helpful to some of you.. No commercial reasons whatsoever)
Hope you enjoy :)

Printable Zentangle art

Hi
Am recently trying out so many new things & here's another one..
Printables are quick & easy way to make multiple cards at a time..
I made one & decided to freely share with everyone (check out end of the post)
Here's a Zentangle art i made initially as a pen sketch.. (3×4")

I then digitalised it, changing few areas which i felt needed some improvement & also a blank space at the center..

Any sentiment/quote can be added there either digitally before printing or stamping/writing after printing it out. Here are some samples..

A side folding card with digitally added sentiment.
Top folding card, sentiment from Hampton Arts stamped with memento tuxedo black ink.

So how do you like it? Here's the HQ version of the image which can comfortably be printed in 3×4" or 4×5" sizes.. Feel free to use it in your project if you'd like to & kindly share link to ur works here or comment on my fb page post :) i'd love to see what you come up with :)

Do lemme kno your comments. They mean a lot. Create. Have fun.
