Quote frame

Hi..
  Here's a project with an interesting story behind (well to me atleast :D )

Well this was my first try to make a handmade cardstock frame following a tute i found randonly online.. I somehow messed up with the measurements & the canvas i intended to put there dint fit..
   Was about to discard the whole thing as the sides got a bit damaged, when this idea kinda stuck me all of a sudden.. I always thought about having a golden quote on a black base in my craft room.. I fixed the frame to a smaller size & wrote on it..
  & Hence this happened :D

I've written the quote with uniball gold alcohol based permanent marker.. I totally love that pen.. Can't rembr how many times i said that :D

Baby Shaker card

Hi
  Today i'll be sharing a shaker card here..

I've used Neenah solar white cardstock for the base as well as the front panel.
Used Martha Stewart circle cutter to cut a 2 1/4" circle.. I've used Bravo micia ink to create the night background..

The baby image is from itsy bitsy stamp set.. Colored using water color pencils, heat embossed with wow clear glitter embossing powder &fussy cut.. Stuck using foam squares..

I used different stamp sets to bring the sentiment together.. Stamped with  memento Angel pink ink...

Art journal: MUSIC IS BLISS

  Here's a layout from my art journal...

I have step by step PICTORIAL for this (aw finally i managed to make one aftr so long :D)

I started off by adhering paper bits from a very old novel.. Dats a easy way to get the antique feel...

I've used music notes decoupage napkins & white glue to add more elements on the bg..

Used walnut stain distress paint, vintage photo antique linen distress inks over the page to bring everything together..
I used Brustro brush pen to draw over the music keys & symbols.. Also drew some on my own to give a complete look..
Added texture paste through memory box alpha worn out stencil..

I applied camlin gel medium all over the page so that I get a nonporous surface & then i used brown sketch pens to give shading to the elements..
Sentiment is stamped using memento tuxedo black ink with WRMK alphabet stamps.. I reinforced it with the brush pen once again..The inks takes a while to dry.. I did mess up smearing it but it's easy to wipe off over the gel medium treated surface..

For the border i used WrMk distressing tool & also misted some water to make tearing the paper easier.. (Dat was a brave & tough decision :D:D) & rolled over ... Applied some gathered twigs distress ink & also brown sketch pen on the back side..

I stuck music notes washi tape on the page underneath (i always leave a page before starting on a new layout) & stuck the two pages completely.

Mini art journal layout: Nature is treasure

Hi
  To begin with, my website crashed again & so is my wordpress based blog :( Trying to resolve the issue but it's pretty hard having to cope up with this situation again & again..
Hence i've decided to switch completely over to blogger & evaluate other options later on..
All that sad stories apart.. Here's another page from my mini art journal :) :)

For the bg i used distress inks & paints & different layering stencils by Tim Holtz as well..
Random stamping with Kaisercraft triangles & Lace texture stamp, Tim Holtz little things stamp set..
Now for the quote, By 'Green is gold' i mean 'Nature is treasure' ;) stamped with worn text alphabet stamp set...
White dots & circles with Uniball Posca white marker..
Added some gold with acrylic paints, gel pen etc..

The pot of gold is from a Porta craft St.Patrick's day sticker set.. I sooooo luvvvv it :) :) it was my inspiration for this page :)

floral watercolor card

Hi..

Here's a watercolor card i made..

This is the first time am doing a totally floral watercoloring like this & i have tons to improve :D
Anyways am happy that i tried :)
I used Distress inks & Koi water brush pen for coloring on a Neenah solar white card stock.. It held all the water really well & am very much happy about it.. i can make single layered watercolor cards easily :)
Wrote the Sentiment with Brustro fineliner pen..

Recycled flowers

Hi..
Here i'm sharing a project i made a looonnnggg time ago :D

Any Guesses about what they are made from?! :)



These are plastic straw flowers :) It took me quite a lot of time to cut each petal individually.! I pierced a hole through each of the petals & passed them through a metal string & tied the ends.. I don't have any pics of the making.. 'Ll try to do a pictorial if i ever had the patience to redo one more of these flowers :)
