Hello,
I have made a card for the historic success of Mars orbiter mission, commonly called the "MANGALYAAN" by the ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation).
Am including the Wiki link here:
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mars_Orbiter_Mission
Here's the card.
I've cut out a pattern paper from "sunrise, sunset" collection to make the dome representing mars & inked the edges.
I drew the rocket myself (referenced from the clipart in whatsapp :P) colored with markers & inks, cut out and stuck on another piece of cardstock to get the white border around & also to make it sturdier.
Wrote the sentiment on vellum sheet with pilot black fine liner pen. Colored the two 'O' to depict mars & earth. Stuck all elements on a plain black sheet, vellum at the back with tape, rocket with foam squares.
The white starry dots are made with gel pen. I guess I cluttered them too much towards the end & wish I could have an undo button in real life :(
Hope you liked it. Cheers.
Create. Have fun.

CAS card: color splash
Hello,
Here's a CAS card following the color splash technique once again.
I used "Scribbles" washi tape to create the background. looks like a patterned paper when complete.
I've cut out the banner from black paper. I didn't have white ink so I stamped the sentiment with versamark & wrote over it with white gel pen.
I used a template to draw & cut out the butterfly, and marker & ink pad to color it. I applied directly from "Bravo" micia ink pad so it gave all these fabric patterns & hence it looks like denim. I absolutely love this effect.
Stuck a blue stone to it.
Faux stitches all around with white pen.
The dimension of the wing is cool in real than the pic.
I applied some random dots using glossy accents to add more interest. Done.
Now for the digi remix,
Originally my idea was to make the sentiment blended with the scribblings. I had an afterthought of making it pop out a bit more. So I have inverted the banner. I've also played with the butterfly's hue.
Hope you enjoyed it. Cheers
Create. Have fun.

CAS card : WITH LOVE
Hello,
I happened to see the CAS(E) this sketch challenge blog & instantly liked it :) many different approaches on a basic layout, therefore a great opportunity to push our limits & think out of the box..
This is the basic sketch:
(link to the challenge below)
http://casethissketch.blogspot.in/2014/09/case-this-sketch-92.html?m=1
Here's what I have come up with:
I've flipped the orientation of the image.
Steps follow & digital remix at the end:
To begin with, am a recent beginner when it comes to paper crafts & so I don't have too many supplies. But that doesn't have to stop me from creating what I want :) it may not be perfect like stamping but am happy with the results.
I took reference from net & hand drawn all the elements.
For the bg, I have applied two shades of blue pigment ink.
For the sentiment, I used a collage of many stamp sets using masking technique to put them all together in place. I cut out & stuck Little hearts in envelope as well as the sentiment.
For the snowy effect, I needed more control. So I went for random dots with my gel pen rather than splashes with paint/gesso.
Stuck the base to the card stock 4 1/4" × 5 1/2"
Done.
For the digital remix, I always wanted a different sentiment for this scene. So I applied some filters , added a new text & a cute clipart from picsart valentine collection.
Hope you enjoyed seeing it as much as I did while making. (Only con is that my glue tape runner got messed up & I guess it won't work anymore:(:( )
It happens. Cheers.
Create. Have fun.

CAS tag : SMILE
Hello,
Here's a CAS tag I have made.
I used watercolor paper for the base.for the background, I Sponged inks (blue, purple) over Tim Holtz bubbles stencils. I misted some sky blue color over all & a darker shade sponged at the edges. I stuck this over cardstock with glue runner & cut along the edges leaving a white border.
I stamped, colored and cut the flowers and leaves separately. Stuck flower using foam squares. Bent the leaves & tuck in behing the flower, sticking the base with glue & tip with foam square. This gives a wonderful dimension.
I stamped the sentiment (technique tuesday stamps) with memento tuxedo black ink. (I would have preferred embossing but no heat gun ryt now)
Added faux stitches with white gel pen.
I've used silver ribbon to tie the tag.
Done.
Hope you liked it. Cheers.
Create. Have fun.

Tag - SPORTS
Hello,
Here's another textured tag. I absolutely love the "colour splash" Fx in photo editing, which is, having few elements in colour in an otherwise desaturated background. So I decided to do the same on paper & the sports theme seemed to match it perfectly.
Here's the tag.
Steps follow, digital remix at the end.
I decided upon the elements on the layout first And then made each of them.
The "#1" & hoop was done with 3D liner, the ball with modeling clay.
3D liner applied to OHP sheet & peeled off carefully with the help of craft knife. It's flexible when dry & perfect for the ropes.
Gave a coat of gesso over all of them & colored with acrylic paints.
As u can see I have colored only the ball with bright colors and everything else in black white.
For the base, I cut 6"×2 1/2" cardstock, applied gesso with an old game station card. This gives more texture than with a brush.
I sponged black paint on the edges.
Random stamping of scripts.
Modelling paste & stencil used for the numbers.
Arranged the elements in their respective place & gave the highlights & faux stitches with white gel pen.
Finally I gave a coat of modpodge to seal everything.
For the digital remix, I wondered how the colored version will look & what's not possible digitally ! !
Hope you liked it. Cheers.!

Mixed media card: THANKS
Hello,
Here's another card.
Steps follow:
●I stamped, colored & cut individual elements. (I ended up using a different banner though, as I wasn't happy with this color scheme)
●I cut & folded the banner With some rough guidelines, colored with pink pigment ink & added faux stitches using white gel pen.
●Stamped the sentiment at the center with memento tuxedo black ink.
●Using memento yellow ink & mini mister, I colored the bg same as my miss you card here.
http://rhizwana.com/craft/2014/09/cas-miss-you/
●Arranged the elements in place,
●gave some texture with bubble wrap & gesso,
●added white splashes with dilute gesso
●stuck the ends of the banner wih glue & center part with foam squares to give some dimesion.
●I trimmed the leaves sticking out of the edges.
●I pasted this on to the white cardbase.
Finally I added glossy accents over some of the elements & it's done.
Cheers.
Create. Have fun.

Mixed media canvas - LOVE
Hello,
Today I will be sharing the mixed media canvas I created, once again a new venture for me. I thought of a starting with a different layout but bcoz of limited time I went for a simpler approach. I will be presenting this to my friend on her wedding. With more than Enough flashbacks, here's the work.
Read on if you are interested in the steps, digital remix at the end.
I used a 6"×8" Brustro canvas board. Stretched canvas panels are expensive so I didn't wanna start with that for my first attempt .
I used a decoupage napkin (heart and stones) and modpodge to cover the whole panel including the sides. It is a 2 ply napkin. Only the printed layer is used.
This is an easy way to create a background to work on. I didn't mind the wrinkles while sticking as they add more texture.
I gave a thin coat of dilute gesso to push the design more into the background. I used flutterby stencil with pearl pink paint initially, but I dint quite like the result as you can see.
So I decided to use modelling paste (homemade) for the same. I used other stencils (TCW ledger, tim holtz bubble) along with it to create more texture on the whole layout.
I used my mini mister to spray paints on the panel using blue, lemon yellow, pink all from the fevicryl pearl color set. Then I painted with some contrast colors to give a shaded effect. (Pearl green, gold, copper, silver) and Distressed the edges (gathered twigs). I covered the sides with the same color scheme along with the main space.
I cut out the letters "LOVE" out of card stock. Added 3D Liner (pearl white) over it to get the dimension. I also dabbed some metallic silver paint to get more shimmer.
Stuck the letters with white glue on to the panel.
I also added the flower and pearl embellishments I made out of epoxy resin & air hardening clay. (I love the pearls ♥) I used glossy accents to stick them since I needed a strong glue. I added a string of pearls using 3D liner. Finally I gave coats of Modpodge to seal everything & give some lustre. I added some white splashes for added effect.
For the backside, I just covered the whole area with a brown cardstock. I cut out the stand from the cover of an old hardbound note. Coated with gesso & painted it.
Attached the stand with glue runner &white glue, just in case. (Fevikwik/ any resin glue would have been better, but I didn't have it right then)
Ready to be displayed.
For the digital remix,
● I have used the decoupage canvas bg, added clip arts (corner swirl, humming bird) & some text randomly in "overlay" mode.
● D/l the quote image & added with "darken" mode.
● included the Butterfly clipart & Given brown vignette effect for the border.
● finally edited with HDR to give more definition to the image.
Hope you enjoyed it. Cheers.
Create. Have fun.

Tag time !!!
Hello,
It' tag time. This is the first tag I have created. When I saw the textured tag theme I was so excited & had to do it ASAP. Right now am going by all those challenges coz it's so much fun to take a topic and work on it. So here's what I have come up with.
steps follow & digital remix at the end
I cut out a 5×6" cardstock, folded in half and stuck firmly. Took a texture decoupage paper & wrapped up the tag sticking it with mod podge.
I stamped & cut out stamps from different pattern papers from the 'sunrise, sunset' collection
Assembling & sticking them randomoy on to the tag & distressed edges with gathered twigs.
Used flutterby, tim holtz bubbles along with homemade modelling paste ( think I messed up a little bit with the consistency this time) for the texture.
Wrote "post it" (I dunno why I chose that :D is it even meaningful?!!) With uniball signo white pen & applied glossy accents for dimension.
I applied gesso with a pallete knife randomly onto the edges. It took up the distress ink in some places & gave that burnt effect. This is what I love the most about this project.
Set the eyelet to the punched hole & attached a brown paper rope.
Finally gave a coat of mod podge to seal everything & for a bit of lustre.
Tag is Done.
This is how it looks on the backside. I have left it plain with the texture paper.
For the digital remix, I have a layout this time. I tried to mirror the tag. Not so satisfied with this one though. May update if I do something better.
Cheers.

CAS: miss you
Hello,
Here is another CAS card.. this time I have used distress ink for the watercolor effect in the BG..
Read on if you are interested in the steps below & digital remix at the end.!!
These pretty much sums up the products used..
First, I cut a 5"×3 3/4" watercolor paper. Then I applied some distress ink (mowed lawn) over a pvc sheet & then sprayed some water with mini mister over that. Moved the paper over it multiple times. It gives that blotchy effect.
(Initially I tried with cardstock & it ended up very badly. It totally absorbs all the color instantly & doesn't spread at all So I had to discard it.)
I stamped & cut the cute little birdie & stuck googly eyes
I cut the 4 1/4" × 11" cardbase, folded in half. Pasted the colored paper with glue runner leaving 1/4" margin all around.
I stamped the birdhouse with memento tuxedo black, stuck the bird & wrote the sentiment "miss you" with the uniball signo white pen
I added a white margin around the bird as I wasn't satisfied with the black one. I guess it made a huge difference :) finally glossy accents over the bird.
Card is done.
I like the simplicity of it & maybe CAS style attracts me a lot. Hoping to do more.
Now for the digital remix :) lonely feel changed into a chirping romance !! So much Fun :)
Cheers.
